Eeek! My first blog! Sometime last semester, I became a dedicated "follower" to 7 blogs, and before I knew it they were my guilty pleasure, so... being a "blogger" myself feels a little strange, but oh so fun :) Hope I can keep up!...
It's hard to believe that in 2 weeks and 2 days, I will be leaving for an adventure of a lifetime. Like most college students, the thought of studying abroad was always something that interested me but I never expected I would get the chance. Last year, when the opportunity fell in front of me [one night over Christmas break] I was obviously beyond excited but the hype soon faded knowing it was a whole year away. Today, it is safe to say, that the hype is back [along with some nerves]!
For those of you who don't know, I will be participating in the Joseph S. Bruno Auburn Abroad program [through the College of Human Sciences]. Myself, and 19 other girls, will spend our semester living in the small town of Ariccia, Italy, located about 20 miles from Rome!

Although we do not leave until January 31st, we have been given 2 weeks worth of assignments that will end up counting as 2 of our 16 hours for the semester. This past week we started the first 5 assignments, which were very time consuming [especially when you are busy winning the National Championship] but thankfully, gave me a better idea of what else I need to get, pack, and learn before my long flight! Hopefully, next week's will come with more helpful information but shorter assignments :)
Okay wait, back to THE National Championship.. can I get a Waaaaar Eagle?? I'm not sure there is a luckier girl in college right now, than me. Spending a semester in Italy after your team not only has a perfect season and wins their 2nd National Championship, but also has the Heisman winner, Coach of the Year, etc etc etc, might just be the definition of perfect.

Shout out to my girl, Rae Rae, who will also be with me on this journey! I couldn't pick a better person to fly with, room with, and enjoy the Italian life with :) |
Basically, I feel like I am currently swimming in blessings and I couldn't be more grateful. God taught me so much about myself this past semester and I know Italy is just another section on His perfect timeline for my life. I cannot wait to get there and see what He has in store!
I am going to try my best to share fun updates, stories, and of courseee.. pictures! [thanks to Santa who brought me my beautiful new camera , that I love]!
If I do not see you before I leave--- I will miss you dearly... try not to have too much fun in Marietta, Auburn, or wherever else you are, without me :)
xoxo
Britt
